World Health Organization
World Health Organisation is a specialized agency of the UN that is concerned with promotion of health. The organisation focuses on primary health care to improve access to essential services and improving access to essential medicines and health products for universal health coverage.
Since its establishment, it has played a leading role in the eradication of smallpox. Its current priorities include communicable diseases, in particular AIDS, Ebola and malaria, providing nutrition and food security, preventing substance abuse and addressing mental health significance.
In the beginning of 2019 WHO has published ten top threats to global health, which included among others air pollution, drug resistance and vaccine hesitancy.
