We are acutely aware of the fact, that the trip may be exhausting for many of you. We are willing to devote our time to make it as pleasurable for you as possible.
There is no airport in our city, yet the closest one is in Bydgoszcz /BZG/, only 22 kilometers away (approx. 45 minute drive). If there are no connections there from your airport, we suggest checking flights to Gdańsk /GDN/(170 kilometers away), Poznań /PZN/(155 kilometers away-though not very convenient connections) or Warsaw (260 kilometers away, both Chopin’s /WAW/ and Modlin /WMI/ airports).
We do not provide transport from the airport, but we are willing to assist you if you need any help.
We may also suggest using FlixBus. Prices are optimal and the standards on the coach are high. The bus station is approximately 10 minutes away on foot from school. Arriving at GDN airport, you might want to use TRANSLINEAIR minibus.
Another means of transport we would recommend are train transfers. You may want to use Polish Railway Services (PKP). You might also find the website called Interrail quite useful. Should you have any trouble buying tickets, we will be more than happy to help you. The main train station is located next to two bus stops that will take you to the centre of Toruń, hence our beautiful school, in less than 5 minutes + 5 minutes walking-distance. While travelling across the bridge by bus, pay attention to the magnificent skyline spreading ahead of you on the other side of the river.
Toruń’s public transport is provided by Municipal Department of Communications (MZK). One tram/bus ticket costs about 0.65 €. The timetables are available on the website, although you may find them complicated. How about you try an app called How do i get there (Jakdojade)? You just have to type a place or an address you want to be at and this app will show you all the connections that you would have probably missed without it.
The bus stops located the closest to the school are: Aleja Solidarności, Wały gen. Sikorskiego, Plac św. Katarzyny and Plac Rapackiego.
If you are travelling from outside the European Union, remember to be sure to meet all the criteria of European regulations. Note, that border officials in EU countries may ask for supporting documents such as an invitation letter, proof of lodging, return or round-trip ticket.
